Think Vermont, Vote Environment

Dear Green Voter,

As you may have heard last week on WCAX, the Vermont League of Conservation Voters made two exciting announcements.

New Environmental Scorecard

First, we released our environmental scorecard.  This year we graded legislators on critical issues such as Energy Efficiency, Creating a Stable and Fair Tax on Wind Power, Groundwater Protection, and Land Conservation.  For the first time, the scorecard also includes the "Lifetime" score of your legislators.  This is a critical tool to help voters decide which incumbent candidates are truly pro-environment and which ones are not.

To view the environmental scorecard in its entirety, please visit the Scorecards section of our new Web site.

Vermont League of Conservation Voters

Second, as you may have already noticed, we have officially changed our name to the Vermont League of Conservation Voters to make plain our affiliation with the national League of Conservation Voters.  With the great work the national league is performing in Washington D.C. and its endorsement and support for Senator Barack Obama, it's a relationship we are proud of.

If you missed the news, you can still find it at WCAX's website.
