Ways for You to Get Involved
Become a Member of VLCV
Becoming a member of the Vermont League of Conservation Voters (VLCV) is easy. With your $25 membership fee you will receive frequent updates regarding our advocacy work in Vermont's legislature as well as information on all of our election year activity. Plus, with your minimal membership fee, you will receive a Chico Bag® with VLCV's logo.
VLCV's custom made Chico Bag is a perfect way to avoid ever needing to use another plastic bag. (Please take a moment to watch this short slide show regarding the environmental damage caused globally by plastic bags: www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article)
The bag stuffs down small enough to fit in your pocket yet it's durable enough to hold 25 pounds of your local fruits and veggies. See photos of the bag, and the link to online membership payment here.

VLCV is working year round to ensure that your environmental values are our state's priorities. During the election season we are directly supporting pro-environment candidates in their bid to be re-elected or elected for the first time.
During the legislative session we are advocating in Vermont's State House for strong environmental laws. We work on issues from land conservation to Vermont's renewable energy future.
To stay on top of all the critical we are doing, please sign up for VLCV's e-newsletter.
Volunteer with VLCV
One person does make a difference! Volunteer with VLCV this election.
Please consider volunteering a small amount of your time to VLCV’s 2008 Campaign for the Environment. Making phone calls, helping VLCV’s endorsed candidates or convincing your friends and family who to vote for will go a long way towards determining the future of Vermont’s environment.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help implement our "GREEN Mt. Voter" campaign. If you would like to help, please fill out the form below or contact Todd Bailey directly at (802) 224-9090. This volunteer work can be done right from your living room and will have a major impact on the 2008 election.
YOUR VOTE COUNTS! One of the most important things we can do to protect the environment is vote.
Every election, environmental supporters have the opportunity to directly impact Vermont's environmental policies by casting their vote. Yet many times they don't!
By getting more environmental voters to the polls, we can make a difference in every election. If you are not registered to vote at your current residence, take a moment to do so.
Visit the Secretary of State's elections page and download voter registration information. Fill it out, send it in, and take an active role in protecting Vermont's environment by voting.
