Who We Are
Vermont’s voters favor strong protections for our air, land and water. Many of our elected officials work hard to enact sound environmental policy. Others continue to vote against it. VLCV’s work focuses on closing this gap.
The Vermont League of Conservation Voters (VLCV) serves as the non-partisan political voice of the state’s environmental community. VLCV seeks to make environmental protection a top priority for elected officials, candidates and voters.
Founded in 1982, VLCV advocates for sound environmental and conservation policies, works to elect environmentally friendly candidates to public office, and then holds elected officials accountable for the decisions they make affecting our air, water, open space and quality of life.
